Dr. Mark Studin

Dr. Studin has been a practicing chiropractor for 4 decades and teaches in both medical and chiropractic academia. He has taught 250,000+ lawyers, 1000’s of medical specialists, chiropractors, primary care medical providers, hospitals and emergency room departments in 49 states. As a result, he is uniquely positioned to understand the “future trends” in the medical-legal arena. Those trends are typically where solutions are found for both medical and legal practices.

Course Catalog

Each Webinar has been carefully engineered for the busy medical-legal practitioner. They have been created to be taken anytime in an “On-Demand”: format.

Each Webinar is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar details the various types of disc pathology, and their explains clinical presentations. The program goes into detail explaining the 6 pathological methods of age-dating disc herniations and diffuses the deceptive rhetoric of asymptomatic herniations. The course also gives “demonstrative” evidenced-based explanations on why sprains are permanent and why all strain/sprains can never be transient.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar describes the forces involved in a low-speed accident and why serous bodily injuries occur as a result. It dispels much of the rhetoric surrounding “no crash-no injury” purported by too many. This program also demonstratively shows how connective tissue [strain-sprain] disorders create long-term injuries and functional losses, in the absence of herniated discs. All of the above explanations are detailed in a literature-based perspective.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar teaches how trauma changes the architecture of discs, and why bulges and herniations are dramatically differently in both morphology and etiology. We discuss how understanding that difference is often the arbiter in verifying causality.  We explain various traumatically induced disc pathologies, their permanencies, and the resultant potential symptoms and clinical findings as sequella in disparate regions of the body. We will also share the carriers algorithmic settlement formulas and documentation requirements.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Herniated discs do more than cause pain that can radiate. A little understood physiological FACT is they ALWAYS cause brain and biomechanical malfunction. This program is outlines resultant sleep issues, anxiety, and lack of performance at work as sequella to herniated discs. This Webinar will also detail carrier settlement formulas and why having an MD as a “team member” and not a “case manager” is the best strategy and solution for the patient/client.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  1. How to DEMONSTRATIVELY report disc herniation creating a “bulletproof” explanation engineered for the carrier’s adjusters, courts, defense counsels, and juries at a high school level of education.
  2. Creating demonstrable reporting that always includes age-dating disc herniations “as a matter of practice” to remove the pre-existing rhetoric that is pro-forma in “carrier centered arguments.”
  3. Demonstrably overturning improper IME-DME arguments based upon the literature utilizing the IME-DME’s report. The consideration of the treating doctor and/or patient rendering a licensure complaint against the IME-DME should their reporting be non-factual containing false admissions or  omissions.
  4. Clinically correlating causality, demonstrable bodily injury and persistent functional losses in an evidenced-based narrative solely based upon the doctor’s opinion.
  • Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar is a case where the carrier [claim’s representative] independently refused to acknowledge a herniation simply because they could. The claim’s representative claimed her objections were due to a “Google” confirmed reason vs. a doctors opinion. This Webinar is about demonstrably showing causally related disc pathology inclusive of physiologically verified ways to age-date the pathology to coincide the injury with the crash. The program teaches you how to overcome a carrier’s claim representative’s prejudice.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar details a case where there was a herniated disc, and post-trauma headaches/migraines as sequella to the herniation. Research will be presented showing the correlation between herniated discs and headaches/migraines. This course also shares with both the provider and the lawyer how to understand, and overturn an incorrect MRI interpretation by either the reading radiologist or an IME radiologist. Demonstrable documentation highlights the missed extruded type herniations.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This Webinar details the energy that transfers from the bullet car, to the target car to the occupant in low-speed crashes. It is that energy, that can cause serious bodily injuries and is very easy to prove with simple math.  The Webinar also explains how to understand opposing accident reconstructionist’s reports, and how to recognize and overcome serious errors in their calculations. This program also describes the evidenced-based minimum energy required for serious bodily injury in a low-speed crash.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The Webinar is about understanding state laws of misconduct and insurance fraud perpetrated by too many IME, DME, and Peer Reviewers. The Webinar explains Duty of Care issues, along with licensure standards in a “state by state” explanation. It also outlines how a treating doctor can utilize both admissions and omissions by the IME, DME or Peer Reviewer to overturn improper opinions based on the law.

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

A detailed, evidenced-based description of concussion. Showing how concussions can be causally related and the clinical findings required to add the diagnosis. We teach what advanced testing is available, including imaging and electrodiagnostics. Introducing new “in-office testing” using conservative and literature-based technology that conclusively diagnoses concussion. Explaining the physiology of why mild-traumatic brain injury [mTBI] is always traumatic brain injury [TBI].

Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
